Due to the State of Kentucky’s continuing prohibitions and restrictions upon public meetings related to COVID-19 events, it has become necessary to cancel the 2021 Riley Reunion. This reunion was previously scheduled to occur on Sunday of May 30, 2021. Under normal circumstances the biennial Riley Reunion would be scheduled for Sunday of May 29th, 2022. We look forward with hope for a possible resumption of our reunion. Watch for future announcements.
2020 Riley Reunion Postponed!
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and Declaration of a National Emergency, the 2020 Riley Reunion for the descendants of William Porter Riley (1857–1929) and Emma Adelaide Johnson (1860–1940) is postponed to Memorial Day weekend in 2021.
Our past Riley Reunions have been held on the Memorial Day weekend of even numbered years. The 2020 Riley Reunion was originally scheduled to be held on May 24, 2020 at the Louie B. Nunn Lodge of the Barren River Lake State Resort Park, 1149 State Park Road, Lucas, KY 42156. The National Emergency, present closure of the Lodge, and risk to the health of our family members has made it necessary to postpone the reunion until it is once again safe to gather in large family groups.
The Riley Reunion is now scheduled for the corresponding Sunday of May 30, 2021 at the same location. Future announcements will provide further details.
